What an incredible afternoon! On Friday, we hosted our highly anticipated Salford Community Upskilling Christmas Party, and we are absolutely buzzing from the turnout and the festive energy.
The goal was simple: to bring our community together, share a meal, and spread joy through giving. Looking back at the smiles in the room, we can confidently say—mission accomplished!

A Mountain of Gifts
As promised, we had a fantastic giveaway of free toys and presents. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to distribute a massive collection of goodies. From VTech learning toys and board games to cuddly teddy bears and sweet treats, no one left empty-handed.
Community Spirit
The room was filled with laughter, bright Christmas jumpers, and Santa hats. It was especially heartwarming to see our core community—including many refugees and asylum seekers—coming together to celebrate. As our banner says, “Wellbeing Matters,” and events like this are crucial for building connections and fighting isolation during the holiday season.
A Huge Thank You
Events like this don’t happen in a vacuum. We want to extend a massive thank you to our partners who made this possible:
- Neighbourly
- Lidl
- Forever Manchester
And, of course, a huge shout-out to our incredible volunteers and staff who organized the toys, decorated the venue, and ensured everything ran smoothly.
