What an incredible week it has been for us at Salford Community Upskilling CIC! We recently gathered at Salford Loaves and Fishes to celebrate “Get Online Week,” and the energy in the room was truly inspiring.
A Special Visit
We were absolutely humbled to welcome Stasia from the Good Things Foundation to our session. The Foundation has been a pillar of support for us, providing essential resources for skills training and data provision that keep our community connected.
Stasia didn’t just visit; she got stuck right in! It was wonderful to see her working hands-on with our attendees, helping them log in, access their accounts, and navigate the digital world. We want to say a huge thank you to Stasia and the Foundation for their continued belief in what we do.
Building Digital Confidence
The highlight of the event was, without a doubt, seeing our members achieve new milestones. For many, technology has previously been a barrier, but today we witnessed a massive shift.
We supported attendees to get online completely unaided—a massive achievement for members who had never attempted this in the past. Seeing them build their confidence and digital resilience firsthand was moving. We are incredibly proud of them, and looking at the smiles in the room, we know they are proud of themselves too.
