We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Salford Community Upskilling is officially taking part in The innocent Big Knit, a wonderful national campaign that makes a huge difference right here in our local community.

Our talented crocheters are putting their skills to work for a fantastic cause: supporting Age UK Salford and Trafford.

Our first session has already taken place, and the room was buzzing with creativity, conversation, and a shared sense of purpose. We gathered our yarn and hooks, and the first batch of tiny, colourful hats started to take shape. It was a wonderful way to kick off this project, and we were so happy to see everyone enjoying themselves.

Little Hats, Big Difference

For anyone new to the campaign, The innocent Big Knit is a brilliant partnership between innocent drinks and Age UK. For every little knitted or crocheted hat that sits on an innocent smoothie bottle, innocent donates 30p to Age UK.

This money is vital. It helps Age UK provide essential services, support, and friendship to older people who need it most, both across the country and right here in Salford and Trafford. It’s a perfect example of how a small, creative act can have a huge impact.
