When I started working as a cleaner in a hotel, I was required to complete some training. However, I didn’t know how to do it because I didn’t understand how to access or use the training platform.

Thanks to the support from Salford Community Upskilling, I learned how to click on the training links and complete my courses. Since then, I’ve been able to do all my training, and my manager is very happy with me.

I've also taken on more responsibilities, including mentoring new cleaners during their training, which has increased my sense of pride and confidence.

I’m very grateful for the support I’ve received here. I’m learning so many new things that I didn’t know before.

I learned how to use a computer back in Kinshasa, but I never had the chance to practice because I didn’t own a device.

Through Salford Community Upskilling, I received a device from Salford City Council. They showed me how to use it, and now I can listen to music, watch YouTube, access Learn My Way, and explore many things I couldn’t do before.

I also received a SIM card, so I always have internet and minutes. That has helped me stay connected and continue learning.

I’m very happy with the support I’m receiving—it’s made a big difference in my life.
