Happy Friday, everyone! As we reach the end of what has been an incredibly busy, positive, and rewarding week here at Salford Community Upskilling, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on our recent progress and share some exciting updates with you all.
As an organisation dedicated to empowering our local community, we are always looking for ways to improve our services, collaborate with partners, and plan for the road ahead. Over the past few days, we have had the wonderful opportunity to do exactly that through two highly productive meetings.
Catching Up at St James’s
Earlier this week, on Tuesday 3rd March, our Board of Directors gathered at St James’s for a fantastic catch-up meeting with the RWP and the Salford ESOL team. The main focus of our agenda was our much-loved Conversational English Cafe.
We had some brilliant, collaborative discussions about how the cafe is currently running and brainstormed exciting plans for its future. It was great to sit around the table together, share ideas, and ensure that our language support remains as accessible, welcoming, and effective as possible.
Presenting Our Vision
The momentum certainly didn’t stop there! Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the Salford RWP steering group meeting.
This was a fantastic platform for us to take the floor and present the heart of what we do. We were proud to showcase how we support people in our community.
A Massive Thank You
Community work is all about collaboration, and we absolutely could not do what we do without the backing of our fantastic partners and dedicated individuals.
As we head into the weekend, we want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to GMCA – ESOL and Salford Loaves and Fishes.
