A New Home and New Opportunities for Salford Community Upskilling!

We are thrilled to announce a major milestone for Salford Community Upskilling!

We have officially moved into a new working space at Suite 9, 1st Floor of St James’s House.

This isn’t just an office; it is a foundation for our future and a safe, welcoming haven for the community we serve.

A Massive Thank You

We want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to the People’s Postcode Lottery and Salford CVS. Their generous funding has made it possible for us to secure this workspace.

By combining these resources, we have secured stability for the next two to three years. This is a game-changer for us. It means we can stop worrying about where we will meet and concentrate fully on what we do best: helping our community members meet their needs.

What This New Space Means

With this dedicated space, we can expand our services beyond individual support. We are now able to host:

  • Small group activities: Including creative arts, drawing, and paper crafting.
  • Wellbeing sessions: Such as music, singing, karaoke, and cultural dance.
  • Educational Support: Providing a consistent location for our English language, ICT, and employability skills courses.

We Need Your Help to “Fill the Space”

As Yolande mentioned in our video update, while we have secured the room, it is currently empty!

To turn this empty office into a functioning community hub, we urgently need support to furnish the space. We are looking for donations or sponsorship for:

  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Basic office/classroom furniture

Every little bit of help is welcome. If you have furniture to donate or can support us in purchasing these items, you will directly help us get our classes and support groups up and running faster.
