What a fantastic journey it has been! Today marks a significant milestone for us at Salford Community Upskilling as we celebrate the last day of our current term. Over the past few weeks, we have been working tirelessly together to break the digital divide, and we couldn’t be prouder of what our community has achieved.
First and foremost, we want to extend a massive congratulations to all of our learners. Stepping out of your comfort zone to learn new technologies takes immense courage, ambition, motivation, dedication, and determination. You have shown all of these qualities in abundance. Watching you put in the effort to learn, improve yourselves, and support one another has been truly inspiring.
A special round of applause goes to our learners who have successfully completed the ‘Learn My Way’ programme, provided by the Good Things Foundation. Seeing the joy and pride on your faces as you received your certificates of completion was a highlight of the term! As the photos show, our sessions have been filled with focus, teamwork, and plenty of well-deserved smiles.
But the journey doesn’t stop here. With these vital foundational skills under their belts, our learners are now perfectly equipped and ready to embark on an exciting new challenge: a comprehensive 12-week digital training programme. We are incredibly grateful to the First Kick Foundation and RWP for offering this fantastic opportunity to us. Thank you for believing in our learners and helping us take their digital literacy to the next level.
