We are still buzzing from the incredible atmosphere at our English Conversation Enrolment session last week!
On Friday, 30th January, we opened the doors at Holm Court to welcome members of our community looking to improve their language skills. It was a fantastic session with 15 attendees joining us. We are delighted to announce that 10 learners have enrolled, and we were thrilled to welcome 5 brand-new faces to the group alongside our returning learners.
More Than Just a Class
At Salford Community Upskilling, our mission is to support asylum seekers, refugees, and the wider community not just with grammar, but with life skills. As our flyers say, “Refugees & Asylum Seekers Wellbeing Matters.”
The enrolment session was the first step on a journey toward:
- Building Confidence: Finding the voice to speak up in daily life.
- Making Friends: Breaking isolation by meeting new people.
- Empowerment: Gaining the skills to integrate into society.
Our “Interactive English” approach is designed to help you communicate in real-world situations—whether you are cooking, reading, or walking. It is about practical usage and feeling included.

Now that enrolment is complete, the real fun begins. We are all set to start our conversational English class this coming week, and we would love to see you there.
